ABOUT KADIE-JO 

Kadie-Jo is an actor, who recently graduated from the University For The Creative Arts Farnham where she studied BA (Hons) Acting & Performance.  

With a strong background in both Stage and Screen, Kadie has a strong and flexible work ethic and approach to projects. 

 

During her studies, Kadie explored both stage and screen acting, whilst also gaining an in depth understanding of the incredible amount of work that goes on behind the scenes. The skills, knowledge and training that she has acquired have given Kadie a strong work ethic, and this allows her to work on a wide range of projects with a creatively-minded approach. Her university course covered an array of pioneering practitioners such as David Mamet and Stanislavski as well as studying classics such as Measure for Measure by Shakespeare and Three Sisters by Anton Chekhov. 

One area in particular that Kadie-Jo quickly became fascinated with, was voice acting, which is something she is continuing to develop after graduating in 2020.

In preparation for starting her BA (Hons) Degree Kadie-Jo took a gap year and worked in London as an Actor at a famous tourist attraction. This helped her gain real world working experience as well as enabled her to play around with her acting skills at that time. It also boosted her confidence and enables her now, to marry her education from her degree, with real world work situations.

In the future, Kadie-Jo would like to pursue training in Drama therapy and Theatre In Education (TIE). By pursuing training in Drama Therapy she would like would like to use her skills to help people heal and express emotions where traditional talking therapy may not be an option/available to them. 

In addition to this, Kadie-Jo would like to explore the field of TIE, using her performance skills to bring  live theatre to those who may not previously have had access to such live performances in a traditional setting. This desire sprung from wanting to train as a nurse, and what better way to marry healthcare and acting than to pursue drama therapy! Please see the STAGE page to read more about Kadie-Jo's future plans for live theatre work.
